Adventure In Travel is a South Carolina based corporation.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION: Once you have decided on a tour and it is confirmed you will have to pay a deposit to secure your reservation. You will be informed of the deposit amount by us and a payment schedule will be set up for you. Final payment is usually due in our office no later than 60 days prior to departure. However, some cruise lines and tour operators require slightly earlier final payment dates.

Cancellations are subject to a fee, plus penalties in effect at the time of cancellation. A $100.00 USD service charge per person is charged for any cancellation, above the fee charged by the tour operator or cruise line. Cancellation penalties vary from tour companies to cruise lines and you will be informed of the penalties at the time of booking. Cancellations must be done in writing by fax, email or certified postal letter.

On privately arranged trips, not a tour or cruise, there is a $500.00 per person cancellation fee after the first deposit. If the trip is cancelled within 120 days prior to departure there is a 50% cancellation fee, 2 weeks prior to departure the cancellation fee is 100%. Any airline tickets that are non-refundable will also be charged along with the cancellation fee.

Payment Terms: 30% deposit of total travel package due upon booking, final payment due 60 days prior to departure.

RESPONSIBILITY: Adventure In Travel and cooperating agencies act only in the capacity of agent for the participation in all matters relating to transportation and/or all other related travel services and assume no responsibility howsoever caused for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service including but not limited to, that resulting directly or indirectly from: acts of God, detention, annoyance, delays and expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, force majure, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulations, discrepancies or change in transit. Reasonable changes in itinerary may be made where deemed advisable for the comfort and well being of the participants. Tour participants who in any way disrupt a trip may be asked by their tour leader to leave and any expenses incurred by their early departure will be at the sole expense of the participant. Those participants who are asked to leave a trip early because of disrupting the trip will receive no refund on the unused portion of their trip.

If for any reason beyond Adventure In Travel?s control, scheduled flights or air fares are changed, any increase in air fare will be collected from passengers; The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time the passengers are not on board the aircraft and/or conveyances. The airline tickets when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between these airlines and the purchaser of any of Adventure In Travel tours.

RISKS: The very nature of providing tours causes concern on the part of Adventure In Travel to the safety of each tour participant. Due to this the company reserves the right to refuse to accept or retain any person as a client of any package at any time and for any reason whatsoever, which Adventure In Travel and/or its suppliers shall in our (their) sole judgment deem necessary. In any such event the companies involved shall not be held liable and the client shall have no recourse whatsoever, directly or indirectly against Adventure In Travel and/or its suppliers with respect to the cancellation.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Adventure in Travel urges all tour participants to have travel insurance coverage including trip interruption, trip cancellation, health and life. Tour operators and agencies cannot be expected to refund or credit clients when circumstances prevent the client from completing their trip. VENUE: Any controversy or claim rising out of or relating to this contract, or the breach of this contract, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. A judgment of a court having jurisdiction may be entered upon the arbitrator's award. Proceedings against the company must be filed within one year of the date of tour departure. Adventure In Travel nor any affiliate shall in any case be liable for other than compensatory damages, and all tour members hereby waive any rights to punitive damages. No party, other than an officer of Adventure In Travel, Inc. by any means, including verbal or written, is authorized to vary, add, or waive any term or condition in this contract. It is agreed that the venue for any disputes which may arise from this agreement will be Charleston County, South Carolina. On advancement of deposit the depositor and all tour members agree to the bound by the above recited terms and conditions. It is solely the responsibility of the depositor to inform all tour members of these terms and conditions and Adventure In Travel cannot be held responsible in any way for failure on the part of the tour organizer and/or depositor to adhere to this matter.
